OverviewMatrixFeature-by-feature

The capability matrix, feature by feature.

The exhaustive cut: 75 features across twelve categories, graded for all twelve players. Organized category → sub-category → feature so you can see exactly where each rival is solid, partial, absent, or unproven — not just "has AI."

Grades: ✅ shipped / solid 🟡 partial · tier-gated · add-on ❌ absent ❓ unverified
How to read

Grades are a synthesis from each vendor's public docs, changelogs, pricing and our own dossiers — not a lab test. ❓ means we couldn't verify it (common for the review-thin newcomers), so the Verified-coverage score at the bottom rewards proven breadth and deliberately under-counts thinly-documented vendors. Full per-vendor evidence lives in each dossier. Scroll horizontally to see all twelve; the category label and feature column stay pinned.

So what

Three shapes emerge. Suites (HubSpot, Salesforce) are broad-and-deep across every category but gate the good parts behind Pro/Enterprise and heavy admin. AI-native newcomers (Attio, Clarify, Lightfield, Day) spike hard on the AI & data-model rows but go ❓/❌ across reporting, comms breadth, and admin — the "went back to legacy" gaps. SMB veterans (Pipedrive, Close, Salesflare, folk) are solid on core CRM + comms but copilot-tier on AI. No column is strong everywhere — and the combination Dreamteam targets (autonomous AI ∩ real reporting ∩ clean data model ∩ predictable pricing) is exactly the cross-category set no single rival holds.
